SANTAQUIN, Utah (KUTV) — The man accused of fatally striking a Santaquin police officer with a semi-truck and fleeing the scene has been previously convicted of attempting the same thing in Oregon, according to court documents.
Officials reported that on March 26, 2009, Michael Aaron Jayne attempted to kill an Oregon State Police officer on State Highway 66 by trying to run him over with his vehicle.
Jayne was convicted in 2010 for attempted assault in the first degree and possessing body armor as a felon — he was allegedly wearing a bulletproof vest at the time of the incident.
PHILIPSBURG/CENTRE COUNTY, Pa — The Centre County YMCA held a number of Free Milk Saturday drives in Centre County Saturday morning. They were preceded by their food distribution event that they do biweekly on Saturdays.

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Martinsburg Police Department say a Punxsutawney man is facing charges stemming from a 2019 fiery crash in Blair County that injured another man.
According to the affidavit, police were dispatched to the crash, on the morning of July 13th, 2019, in the area of Piney Creek Road (Route 866) and Stultz Lane.
Investigators say the two vehicle crash resulted in multiple injuries and both vehicles reportedly caught fire.

Adams Township Police say the suspects broke in just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning and targeted four Games of Skill machines, as well as the payout machine.
Video shows the suspects physically removing the payout machine.
Police say the machine was later found in the woods nearby, emptied of all the cash.
MARYLAND (WBFF) — Transportation Security Administration officers at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport intercepted a loaded handgun on Sunday, May 26 from a retail shop employee who works at the airport.
The 9mm gun was loaded with eight bullets when TSA officers detected the firearm among the retail worker’s belongings while he was screened at the checkpoint on his way to work, according to a news release. Officials reported airport police were contacted, responded to the checkpoint where they confiscated the firearm, cited the Baltimore man on firearm charges and took possession of the man’s airport identification badge.
BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- The Centre County Sheriff's Department is warning of a new phone scam circulating around the area. Sheriff Bryan Sampsel says thieves are somehow 'spoofing' the department's government phone number, calling people saying there's a warrant out for their arrest.

DuBois, PA — One local nursing home in DuBois is reporting over 30 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In a letter on the DuBois Continuum of Care's website, as of yesterday the DuBois Nursing Home has four new confirmed resident cases of COVID-19 bringing their total to 22 cases for residents.
The letter also states seven new confirmed staff cases of COVID-19 bringing their staff total to 14.
The DuBois Nursing Home is also reporting two residents and one staff member with new onset of respiratory symptoms within a 72-hour period.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — For the first time this year, hummingbirds have been spotted in Pennsylvania.
According to Hummingbirdcentral.com, the first Pennsylvania sighting was in Cambria County Monday.
