Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubsiky is now under contract with the team for the next three seasons.
The team announced Thursday that Trubisky was given a two-year contract extension.
Trubisky appeared in seven total games last season for the Steelers, starting five of them.
He completed 117 of 180 passes for over 1,200 yards and four touchdowns.

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection announced Friday that Advanced Disposal Services has agreed to a $600,000 civil penalty in relation to a waste slope failure that resulted in the death of its employee at the Greentree Landfill in Kersey, Elk County.
On Feb. 8, officials said a slope failure occurred at the Greentree Landfill, causing an estimated 15.5 acres of solid waste to shift and an estimated five acres of solid waste to slide off the lined disposal area.

The Northern Cambria School District is in the planning phase of consolidating its high school with the elementary/middle school. Throughout its past meetings they presented several options to the public, but many residents take issue with the idea itself as it will raise taxes in the area.
The district has since drawn up plans with an architect and posted a real estate tax calculator on their website so that residents can find out their tax increase as a result of the project.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Three people remain in the hospital Sunday after a shooting in Columbus, Ohio Saturday injured them and killed three others. Authorities said six people in total were shot, three of whom were killed. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, and the third was taken to an area hospital and died there.
Those who were killed were identified as 27-year-old Malachi Pee, 18-year-old Da'ondre Bullock, and 26-year-old Garcia Dixon Jr.
