ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Sheetz officials say they’re celebrating Truck Driver Appreciation Week by cutting diesel fuel prices.
They announced Thursday they’re reducing diesel prices by 35 cents per gallon at all their locations.
It’s the 35th year for Truck Driver Appreciation year.
Sheetz says they’re also decreasing their diesel exhaust fluid prices to 99 cents per gallon at the pump.
“Truck drivers positively impact the fabric of everyday American life,” said Travis Sheetz, President & CEO of Sheetz.
BOALSBURG/CENTRE COUNTY, Pa — Today was the final day of the Boalsburg Fire Company Carnival, which had been cancelled each of the last two years on account of the pandemic.
Although Centre County recently entered the CDC’s high transmission COVID category once again, that didn’t keep the community from the carnival.

NEW YORK CITY (TND) — The Columbia University chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) announced Thursday a “no confidence” vote against the school’s president Minouche Shafik.
The symbolic measure holds no sway over Shafik’s position at the school, but sends a strong message to university leaders. In a statement posted to X, AAUP explained the president has made one too many missteps at the helm of the university.
2nd UPDATE | Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victims of Tuesday's murder-suicide in Cambria Township.
Lees says 59-year-old Richard Baker reportedly shot and killed 47-year-old Jennifer R. Emerson before turning the gun on himself.
Investigators say both victims died from single gunshot wounds to the head.
Authorities say their bodies were discovered on the porch of a residence along 5th Street in the Colver area.
Kastle Boxing held their first ever “Battle at the Kastle” event on Saturday.
Kastle Boxing is a non-profit USA Boxing registered team that trains everyone from amateurs to professionals.

Angela Marinucci, now 29, argues in an appeal filed Friday in Westmoreland County Court that the judge ignored evidence that she has matured during the 12 years she has spent in prison since her arrest in the stabbing death of 30-year-old Jennifer Daugherty of Mount Pleasant, The Tribune-Review reported.

At the heart of this situation, Houtzdale Fire Company says it wanted to renegotiate its contract with Decatur Township. But the township chose not to do that and instead signed a three-year contract with Columbia Volunteer Fire Company.
