University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State announced Tuesday that former Indiana University head coach Tom Allen has been named as the Nittany Lions next defensive coordinator.
“I have always had a ton of respect for Tom Allen, and we are excited to welcome him to our staff,” said head coach James Franklin. “I’ve enjoyed following his coaching career and his experience as a head coach and defensive play caller will bring tremendous value to our program.
In an effort to fix Pennsylvania's decreasing gas tax revenue, a State Representative is looking to implement an electric vehicle fee.
6 News spoke with this State Rep. who says implementing this fee would help maintain Pennsylvania roads and bridges.
“Electric vehicle owners are no longer paying a gas tax," said Rep. Ed Neilson. "Pennsylvania collects a gas tax and that's what helps us maintain our roads and bridges so its important everyone pays their fair share.

PennDOT officials say a partial lane closure remains in place following Friday morning's tractor-trailer rollover crash on Interstate 99 in Taylor Township, Centre County.
Authorities say one of the northbound lanes was reopened after 1 p.m., however, the other lane is not expected to be reopened until 6 p.m.
Officials say the crash occurred just after 7 a.m. between exit 52 (Bald Eagle-Philipsburg) and exit 61 (Port Matilda-Philipsburg).
