Death of infant in Beaver Co. prompts PSP investigation

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a three-month-old child was pronounced dead in Aliquippa Saturday afternoon.

According to state police, Aliquippa Police Department responded to the 200 block of Beaver Avenue for reports of an unresponsive child just after 1:30 p.m.

A press release states that the child was transported to Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Aliquippa Police Department has turned the investigation over to state police and the death is being treated as "undetermined" at this time.
