Reopening of Bellefonte's Kepler Pool delayed as fundraising efforts continue

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Fundraising to repair and refurbish Bellefonte's Kepler pool is ongoing, but organizers say it’s going to be awhile before the pool is reopened.

The pool was a popular community resource for decades at Bellefonte’s Governors Park, but it was closed a few years ago due to badly needed upkeep.

Since then, over a million dollars has been raised, but organizers say the pool's total repair cost is now close to three million dollars.

They're hoping to have the pool reopened by the summer of 2026.
